Durlston Country Park

Approximately 25 minutes’ drive (8 miles) from The Sandbanks Ferry Shell Bay Terminal

Durlston Country Park is a national nature reserve, located one mile from Swanage, Dorset.

There’s plenty to explore at Durlston Country Park, with 320 acres of countryside, dramatic sea cliffs, and meadows filled with 500 kinds of wildflower.

The park is a haven for wildlife, with more than 2,000 species calling it home including 33 types of butterfly and 250 bird species.

Family activities include a Wild Play Trail for children, interactive displays and exhibitions at Durlston Castle, located on-site. The Victorian castle also hosts a café, gallery, and shop.

Durlston Country Park runs a diverse events programme, including mini-beast safaris, live music, and astronomy.
